The Southern African-Nordic Centre SANORD is a network of more than 50 higher education institutions in southern Africa and the Nordic countries, and a forum to advance academic collaboration between the Nordic and the southern African regions.

SANORD seeks to address sustainable development and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through joint activities of research, education and other activities relevant for the member institutions. Collaborations are discussed and enhanced in Special Interest Groups, which are platforms for common interests in certain specific areas (thematic or professional).

Members of FAPI and SANORD are welcome to take part in the Special Interest Group on Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG9), which is coordinated by FAPI.
