Continuing the SANORD Journey
From Windhoek to Kuopio, SANORD continues its commitment to fostering equitable partnerships, knowledge co-creation and meaningful collaboration between higher education institutions in Southern Africa and the Nordic countries.
Building on the discussions and partnerships strengthened during SANORD’s 20th anniversary celebrations in Namibia, the 2027 Conference will provide another opportunity for the SANORD community to exchange knowledge, strengthen institutional relationships and explore innovative responses to shared global challenges.
Exploring Agency, Equity and Inclusive Innovation
Under the theme “Agency, Equity and Inclusive Innovations in a Digital Era,” SANORD 2027 will bring together academics, researchers, students, institutional leaders, policymakers and practitioners to explore the opportunities and challenges presented by digital transformation.
The conference will encourage critical dialogue on how higher education, research and international collaboration can contribute to more equitable, inclusive and sustainable societies, ensuring that technological advancements and innovation benefit diverse communities.
As SANORD enters its third decade, the conference represents an opportunity to reaffirm the network’s commitment to equitable partnerships, mutual learning and research collaboration that delivers meaningful societal impact.
Join Us in Kuopio, Finland
SANORD warmly invites its member institutions, partners and the wider higher education community to participate in the SANORD 2027 Conference.
We look forward to continuing the conversations initiated in Namibia and building new connections in Finland as we collectively advance knowledge, innovation and sustainable development.
