SANORD Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition 2026

The Southern African–Nordic Centre (SANORD) is pleased to invite all member institutions to nominate outstanding PhD candidates for the SANORD Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition 2026.

This competition provides doctoral researchers with an opportunity to present their work in a clear, engaging, and accessible manner to a broad audience, while strengthening academic collaboration across the SANORD network.


Important Dates

  • 05 March 2026 – Call opens for submission

  • 30 April 2026 – Deadline for institutional submissions

  • 22–25 September 2026 – Final presentations at the SANORD Annual Conference (University of Namibia


How to Submit

Each participating institution is required to conduct a local 3MT competition and nominate one institutional winner.
