Every three years, the SANORD Council appoints an eight-member Nominations Committee, comprising four representatives from the Southern African region and four from the Nordic region. The Committee is responsible for advising and reviewing applications for new membership, theme group projects, and the Brian O’Connell Scholarship, as well as overseeing the Board election process. The Committee submits recommendations to the Board in accordance with its mandate and discretion.

Leadership SANORD facilitates networking and meetings among leaders, researchers and students from Nordic and Southern African institution.

The Board consists of the Chairperson and the Vice-Chairperson and 6 other members of the Council for a period of two years.

The SANORD Council consists of all member institutions.
