Tampere Smart City Week is an event for all the people interested in smart city development. It will be held entirely virtual on 22—28 January 2021. The program includes an international conference for professionals. You will have an opportunity to network with developers and municipalities all around the world! Science Forum of Tampere Universities will open up the week on 22—23 January, introducing our first 3MT competition!
The international Smart City conference gathers together professionals to discuss issues such as the direction of urban development after the coronavirus pandemic. The event strengthens awareness of Tampere as a developer of a sustainable and smart urban region in Finland and internationally. We highlight local companies, present smart and sustainable city development networks and their operations as well as help other cities direct their development and investments.
The event showcases opportunities for companies and investors in the renewing and sustainably growing Tampere as well as the latest research data from our collaboration initiatives. The event gives international visibility to an attractive and innovative urban region.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation the SANORD board has decided to hold the entire conference on a digital platform. The programme will be restructured and shortened, but we will keep the same dates 7- 10 September 2021.
Information about participant fee and registration will be announced during February 2021.
If you have handed in an abstract for the 2020 conference, you can choose to keep this for the 2021 digital conference or submit a new abstract. The new submission deadline is 1 April 2021.
